Hailing from Tokyo, creator Yumi Ando hand builds ceramic jewellery from earthenware, porcelain and raku clay. The initial designs for her work are developed from hand drawn sketches or technical drawings using architectural templates and CAD.

Yumi has enjoyed crafting new pieces from raw materials such as paper, clay and found objects since she was young. She draws from both Japanese and Australian culture for inspiration.
